Olá!
I’m Monica and welcome to my website! Originally from Brazil, I grew up very fast (I mean very fast - I went from 5’6 to 5’11 in one year).
I’ve been acting since I was a kid. On my 9th birthday, my family threw a huge party for me. I decided I’d put on a show because… well… I like to have fun. I dressed up as Madonna and performed “Like A Virgin,” along with many of her other hits - opera gloves and all. It was that moment that I realized what a joy it is to entertain and perform for an audience. As I began to act more and more, it quickly became an inseparable part of me. My life wouldn’t make sense if I didn’t have acting.
I lived in Portugal for 8 years before making my way to New York City, where I currently call home. I’m a self-starter. I wanted to make movies and so I did. After realizing I had a knack for producing, I started Momi Films with my husband, Miguel, and one of my best friends Bruno, and we’ve been producing film, videos and commercials since 2012.
My producing brought me to New York City, where I decided to further develop my acting training. I graduated from the Atlantic Acting School Professional Conservatory in 2016 and have performed in a variety of shows since graduation.
I’m motivated by passion and eager to bring stories to life. I love to inspire my family, friends, and coworkers to work at their fullest potential. I strive to empower my audiences and take them on a journey through my work.
